Businesses are increasingly expecting employees to visualize data for both their internal and external communications in presentations, blog posts, reports and infographics.   • Dashboard design best practices and common mistakes
  • Best practices for chart design
  • Different chart types and visualization methods
  • Creating advanced charts in Excel and PowerPoint
  • How to use the various software and online tools
  • Storytelling with data and multiple ways to use data visualization in your organization
  • Understanding trademark and copyright issues and how they relate to data visualization and infographics
  • Tools to build interactive and animated data visualizations
  • Students will get hands-on experience in class creating data visualizations using sample data sets in various applications and websites
