The PR industry has radically changed over the past 5 years. Exclusively offline relationship
building and blasting your press release to reporters are increasingly less effective and overused. In this ever increasingly digital world we're able to bypass traditional media as needed and go straight to the customer. Because of this easy access, PR professionals need to adapt new techniques and strategies to reach these audiences effectively and in realtime. This course is designed to get you up to speed on what you need to know as a PR professional working in a fast paced digital world. You will learn:

  • How PR has evolved in the 24hr multichannel news cycle, and how this translates into new opportunities for PR professionals.
  • Understand how to construct a seamless branding tone for effective messaging
  • Identify online influencers relevant to your client/product
  • Learn how to leverage social media platforms most useful to PR professionals
  • How to tie SEO, Content Marketing, and PR strategies together for maximum exposure
  • The anatomy of an SEO friendly press release
  • How to create content that gets shared, and using it to attract journalists and influencers
  • How to use reputation management tools
  • How to utilize a PR toolset specifically for digital
  • How to have press opportunities come to you, instead of constantly searching online
  • Use new digital PR techniques with real world client
