The History of World War I, Part II

The History of World War I, Part II
Stalemate, the End of Old Europe, and the Treaty of Versailles

This course examines the consequences as the "great war" grinds to a stalemate, the major battles, and the political consequences for Europe. America became involved in the war by 1917, and the country mobilized to send young men "over there" while keeping the homefront going. By the end of the war , many Americans wanted no part of the Treaty of Versailles or the League of Nations.
