Drawing Basics

Drawing is a fundamental skill of artists, designers, craftsmen and art aficionados who desire to communicate ideas visually. Students will learn how to see and capture the form of objects from direct observation using a variety of drawing media. The basic elements of art, design principles, color theory and composition analysis will be studied. Drawings from famous artists will be presented with challenging drawing exercises and art projects to foster creativity and self-expression. The goal of the course is to invite the student to discover new ways of art making using new skills, improved techniques and enjoying the drawing process! No previous art experience is necessary. Supplies are not included in the cost of the course.
