Memoir, Personal Narrative & Essay

A terrific start for those wanting to tell personal stories either in short essays, blogs or full length manuscripts. We'll explore techniques on how to shape writing about a personal experience, feeling or idea, and matching it to the universal cord of human experience to draw readers (and editors) to your work. Beyond the idea and matching efforts, the essay writer will come away from the class with techniques of writing that will add punch to their story. Those writing in short forms will come away with a personal essay or three blogs. The book length memoir writer will have a strong opening or first chapter and a plan of what's next.
