Exploring Media: Acrylic and Gouache

Students will learn about the process of painting and will explore two very unique materials. Demonstrations and multiple exercises will allow for students to become comfortable with using acrylic and gouache mediums. This course will also focus on color theory and the construction of spatial relationships on a 2-dimensional surface, so that each student will leave having a greater understanding of these concepts. Students will leave this class with a collection of paintings that they have produced on canvas, panel, and paper. Prerequisites: No previous experience is necessary. Supplies are not included in the cost of the course. Supply list will be provided upon registration.
