Music History in Context: Rock and Roll

Take a chronological tour of Rock and Roll music to discover connections between popular music, the musicians, and the audience, as well as the social and political environment in which it was created. We’ll watch and discuss a selection of documentary films that include performances and interviews with major Rock and Roll figures. This class is for music lovers who want to know more about the context of songs that have played an important part in American culture for the last sixty years.
